Dear Advisory Committee Member,

The 2019-2020 school year is going great at the Poplar Bluff Technical Career Center.  Our instructors are training our students to ensure they become valuable members of our communities workforce and with your input and guidance our instructors can better prepare our students to meet the needs of our local employers.

This year our program advisory groups will meet at 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. October 29th at the Poplar Bluff Technical Career Center.  Dinner will be served in the conference room starting at 5:30 p.m.  Following dinner (at 6:00 p.m.), members will meet with individual instructors in their program areas.  Instructors will share current curriculum, learning activities and changes required by state agencies such as the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Council on Occupational Education (COE our national accreditor).  They will ask your input regarding suggestions for curriculum, training equipment updates and ideas on how we can better prepare students for entry into the workforce. 

Thank you for your continued dedication and support.  Your expertise and insight is very important to our being able to remain current in industry standards so that students completing our programs are employable as well as meet the needs of the employers in our community.  Your active support of the Poplar Bluff Technical Career Center is appreciated.
